St Helena

Buy Country Review

Throughout my visit, I follow with fascination a scene which perfectly illustrates life on St Helena. On the very first day I notice two men in the main thoroughfare, stooping over the delicate and laborious task of re-painting the white lines marking the parking place for a couple of dozen vehicles. I am not sure what attracted my attention; perhaps the high degree of concentration on the part of the two workmen; or perhaps their calculated slowness?
